📍 Fort St. In 1997 I started a western store, and every year since I could write a book on “What not to do”. The store started with jeans, shirts and outerwear, then slowly expanded into giftware, toys and kids wear that are also a big part of the store now. One of the unique parts of the store would be

the way we all dress. The girls all wear western shirts of their choice and 8 Seconds is embroidered down the sleeve; no sweatshirts or t-shirts allowed. We advertise for us and I believe if you dress with pride, you will walk with pride. Services that we offer are, hat cleaning and shaping, boot stretching as well as custom hemming. If you shop for a few more minutes they can be done while you wait, no charge added. In 2004 Bruce Coleman joined the store and at that time the tack and feed were added. Bruce is very experienced with bits, saddles, driving equipment as well as packing supplies and farrier tools. Every summer the fields we live on come alive with the sound of old time farming. Cutting hay with teams of horses, horse drawn mowers and rakes are everywhere. In the fall they cut the oats with horse drawn binders and the bundles of oats are then thrashed. Some of the many spectators that come to enjoy a day out in the fields say it takes them back to their youth and the young ones are learning how it once was done. In the back part of our store is the tack area, which supplies the western and english riders, there are two tables back there as well that have turned in to a coffee and story area. Stories anywhere from the calf that got away, to the one who didn’t, to runaway teams or broncs they could ride, and the ones they couldn’t.
