Sometimes life throws you curveballs.

Due to a series of bad falls resulting in a our sewist requiring surgeries on her knee and wrist, we'll be going on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. If this was only on the production end we would still be able to move forward with selling what's already been made, but as a part of her care team for the next few months I'll be mostly be out of province and will not be able to do my half of things either.

We were hoping to do a massive social media Christmas sale and move products out to some Fredericton shops but it's just too much to try and orchestrate right now. Unfortunately we're going to have to miss out on our best season and resume operations some time next year.

We'll keep you posted for when we can start taking special orders again. And if I can find a way to do it, I'll let you know when we have stock available in Fredericton shops.

Designing and making these bags is our passion. Every time we hear about our bags being recognized by strangers out and about our hearts are filled to bursting. Your support has meant the world to us. You've spread our bags across Canada, some of them have even traveled around the world! This is our dream and while we're sad to step away, we're optimistic that this will all work out and and we'll be back in the saddle again.

Mihail Andreyevich is a mixed media and tattoo artist based in Fredericton. If you've strolled around the walking trails you may have seen his art on the painted benches. Mihails goal is to improve the lives his fellow immigrants through education, community-building and art. For his outstanding contributions to his community, Mihail was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal In 2024. Mihails art celebrates the strange, the maccabre, and the joyful. His dynamic paintings often features LGBTQIA2S+ themes of love, resistance, progress, and hope. We are blessed to have work like Mihails in New Brunswick, and Tilleyberry Cottage is thrilled to celebrate his vibrant career, defined by touching the lives fortunate enough to cross his path.

About the artist:

Jessica Hall is originally from Newfoundland and settled in New Brunswick in 2018. She paints part-time while working full time as a Registered Veterinarian Technician. Jessica enjoys working in monochrome gray-scale, especially on circular canvas, and her art elicits a haunting, almost spiritual feeling. From landscapes and nature to whimsical scenes, Jessica's work exhibits a quiet beauty, divorced from time. Her paintings provide moments of stillness in the liminal spaces of life, reminding us of the beauty of the world around us and to appreciate each moment as it comes.
