Today, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to the wonderful team behind Sacred Arts and share a little about the people who help make our shop so special. Every member brings their own talents, creativity, and personality, and together, we make Sacred Arts what it is today!
✨ Meet Destiny Parr
Our newest team member, Destiny, recently joined us as an already recognized Indigenous artist. We are so excited to see her bring her creativity to life here at the store! She has already completed two beautiful barrettes and created designs using our Cricut machine. She is currently working on a gorgeous medallion, and we can’t wait to see her future creations. We are thrilled to have her talents as part of our team!
✨ Meet Julie Highers
Julie has been with us for four years and is our youngest team member. She creates beautiful dreamcatchers, lanyards, car headdresses. Julie has an incredible eye for colour and detail, and she also plays a big role in helping with store orders and keeping things running smoothly. Her creativity and dedication are such an asset to our team!
✨ Meet Nancy Breen
Nancy has been developing her ribbon skirt-making skills and creating shirts for both youth and adults. She truly shines at our pop-up events and has a wonderful way of interacting with our customers. Nancy brings an energy and welcoming spirit to Sacred Arts that we absolutely love!
✨ Meet Cecelia Brooks, affectionately known as Bick
Bick is our senior team member and has been with the company for over 20 years! She brings so much experience, energy, and personality to our team. She is truly a treasure to us, and we are so grateful for everything she brings to Sacred Arts.
❤️ And last but certainly not least, there’s me, Laurie Bottschen!
I have been working with retail sales for over 25 years, and seven years ago, I was given the opportunity to open this beautiful shop known as Sacred Arts and help grow it into the thriving business it is today. It is something I work on every single day. From managing our social media and ordering inventory to working alongside our team on new ideas and opportunities, I am passionate about seeing Sacred Arts continue to grow and flourish.

Each of us brings something unique to the table, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for our team and our shop. We are proud to support Indigenous artists, celebrate creativity, and offer a place where our community can come together.
