🌿 A personal note to my wonderful customers 🌿
To those of you who have supported The Wooden Hanger over the years, I want to take a moment to speak to you honestly.
Right now, business has slowed to a level that I have never experienced before — even compared to the pandemic years. While I continue to see familiar faces coming in to browse and visit (which I truly appreciate), purchases have dropped off to the point where covering the basic costs of running the store has become very difficult.
To keep the doors open here on Gabriola Island, I need to at least meet those essential expenses — rent, utilities, and the day-to-day costs of keeping the business going — and I can no longer do that alone without customer support.
I’ve just brought in beautiful new pieces from Habitat and Hatley, and the store is ready to start the season ahead. But at this point, browsing alone won’t sustain the business.
If The Wooden Hanger has been a place you’ve enjoyed — whether for clothing, a visit, or a chat — I’m asking for your support now. Even a small purchase makes a meaningful difference and helps keep this little shop here on the island and moving into it's 34th year.
