To keep it short, I've finally been appointed to a permanent position at the post office. I decided to accept because I'd really like to have benefits and a bit of stability in a job where I'm not the boss.
As for sewing, I'm not giving up, but I'm definitely pivoting. I'm just not thriving alone in my basement with my machines for company. My foray into teaching has shown me that the light missing from my life was people. I will be focusing more energy on expanding my class offerings, hosting a kids sewing club, and a new passion project that is working on costumes for a production at the Livery!
I'm really grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their garments. I have one more round of fittings and then will be closing this chapter. You can still contact me to find out who else can help you. There is an incredible group of women around the county who are still offering alterations, and I'm more than happy to hype them up to you.
Thanks for the support 💚
