STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ✨ Meet Jackie!
I’ve been asking some of my students to share their experience sewing here, and honestly, reading their replies has made my whole week. So I’m sharing a little of that love, starting with Jackie! ❤️
She came in as a complete beginner, and after finishing her series, signed her son up too. Getting to share sewing with more than one person in a family is pretty special.
Here’s what she had to say:
“Sewing at Chavah’s is a really lovely experience! I was a total novice when I attended and her intimate space really took the stress off of learning a new skill! She made sure I understood the ‘why’ behind the techniques she showed me, and it felt like a place where people just come together to sew at a friend’s house in the country (except one of those friends happens to be an incredible designer)! After I finished my series I immediately signed my 9 year old son up and he absolutely loves it because he gets a lot of 1-1 attention and the freedom to do whatever he wants creatively (which is also how I felt as an adult learner). Highly recommend Chavah’s home studio!”
Thank you, Jackie! The “sewing at a friend’s house” part? That’s exactly how I want it to feel. A space where you can get comfortable, ask all the questions, and get excited about what you’re making.
