Most of us know the importance of mammograms, but did you know that approximately 40% of breast cancers are first discovered when women notice a change themselves?
That's why breast self-awareness matters.
Knowing what's normal for your breasts—their shape, texture, and feel—can help you recognize when something changes. It isn't about searching for something to be wrong. It's about becoming familiar with your body and feeling confident in noticing when something doesn't seem quite right.
A lump isn't the only sign to watch for. Changes in size, shape, skin texture, ni**le appearance, or unusual discomfort can also be worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
You know your body better than anyone else. Taking a few moments to check in with yourself each month is a simple act of self-care that could make a meaningful difference.
Feel it. Know it. Trust yourself.
