My friends!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything, and I feel the need to share some news: I went back to school! 🤓

Since September, I’ve been enrolled as a full time student. Yes, I’m a 43 year old mom, and no, I’m not crazy (at least, no more than on a regular day😜🤪!). As much as I love being focused on all the academics, I desperately miss sewing. It’s my zen place. I miss creating useful things with bright colors and patterns. 🥺😢

Last night, I used my sewing machine for the first time in what feels like forever. My mini was shocked to see me at my sewing table lol.

I altered a top to accommodate a port for a friend going through dialysis. 💖 Now they can stay clothed and warm during dialysis👌🤩

I’ve made some seatbelt pillows for post-mastectomy patients before, but that’s all the medical-type sewing I’ve had experience with. What other sewing ideas do you have that could be used in a medical setting?

So some of you may know this already but I’m a pattern tester for Ellie and Mac 🧵💖

E&M designs sewing patterns for both clothing and crafts. Most patterns come with A0 print files, PDF print files, and most importantly: projector sewing patterns🤩🤩🤩🤩

Their latest crafty pattern release is a cross-body storage bag. I’m using mine to store my yoga mat 🧘‍♀️, but it’s also being used to store toys, towels, tripods, and gift wrap 🎁 Since there are two different sizes available, this bag is super versatile. Also includes a good-sized pocket to carry phones, keys, cards, money, etc, and has a drawstring top to ensure your stuff stays in the bag!

Free Sudbury event for 2S-LGBTQ+ high school students and educators ★!

Classroom Closet is a conference hosted by Fierte Sudbury Pride and Reseau ACCESS Network for 2S-LGBTQ+ high school students and educators. This year's conference will have speakers about q***r sexual health, harm reduction and mental health. It will be taking place at Place Des Arts. The conference is completely free with lunch included.

The Classroom Closet Conference will provide conference participants with the knowledge, attitude, and skills required to support and advocate for 2S-LGBTQ students, friends, family members, and coworkers. This will be done through workshops delivered on a number of 2S-LGBTQ+ related topics by a diverse range of speakers and facilitators.
This conference intends to help make Northern Ontario a safer place for everyone. Classroom Closet is about coming together, learning, making new friends and meeting new allies.

Happy new year my lovelies!!!! ✨

I fell off the earth for a while during the holidays, but I’m finally back at it and thought I’d share my first project of the new year: a book bag. 📚

I don’t know about you all, but when my family goes to the library, we need a bag to hold all the books we take out 😅. I’ve made this one for myself, and I’ve got a few more available for purchase for $25 each so pm me ✉️ if you’re interested!! Yes, it even has pockets inside! Measurements are as follows:

16” high
14” wide
4” deep
The straps extend 10” past the top of the bag

The plain purple pocket is a single pocket, but the printed purple pocket is split in two!

Yesterday’s craft show went well! I learned some very important stuff, and met some super nice folks!

Afterwards, I spent the evening relaxing and being thankful for all the support thrown my way by friends and family 🥰 I also started planning for my next show, which isn’t too far off…..so stay tuned!
