Local Businesses beware. Someone is impersonating our local Sudbury Market. They almost had us handing over payment to secure a booth. Very convincing emails and application form. Good thing I double checked with the Sudbury Market to make sure it was them, as the email was different from that shown on their page. I found it strange that they were reaching out to my business, as generally, the market focuses on locally grown, and artisanal products only. I am considered a reseller. Note - The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre has been notified.
While a recent article published by the Sudbury Star contains the correct market dates and times, the application link included in the article is NOT linked to the Sudbury Market's official vendor application.
We have also been notified that emails are circulating claiming to offer vendor invitations or opportunities. Please note that the Sudbury Market has NOT sent out any vendor invitation emails at this time.
