Sorry to everyone who wanted to come check out Ultracon today.
The organizer decided they couldn't financially finish the con, so they cancelled it 10 mins before the doors opened.
Vendors also found out about the cancellation at that time and were given an hour to pack up and get out.
I feel terrible for Gary Chalk, and am glad that Peter Williams was already done.
The vendors tried to band together to open for the day, but the organizer already announced the cancellation.
I believe the sheer lack of advertising, poor communication, lack of schedule, and more, contributed to the very low attendance and success of the event.
Vendors are now out funds, and guests who purchased advance tickets are also out money.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
