Hi my name is Joanna and I am located in Guelph,Ontario.My passion for all things vintage and antique began at an early age. My Mum worked in an antique shop when I was young and for over 30 years she and my late Stepfather had their own antique business, buying and selling antique jewelry and silver items at antique markets and fairs across England. Saffron Vintage has been born out of that love

and is a way for me to continue to enjoy buying and selling interesting, beautiful and unique items for others to enjoy. Most of the items for sale are one of a kind, unique pieces but others have been lovingly brought back to life and repurposed. Finaly tonight this gorgeous, Mid Century, Norwegian, Studio Pottery, round charger/ platter by Sidsel Hartvig Jensen. Jensen is considered one of Norways most prominent and highly influential ceramists, she was born in Holden, Norway in 1916 and passed in 1996. She worked under Jens Von Der Lippe during WWll and she opened her own studio in 1946. Her work is characterized by “white poster glazes with fleetingly pastel flowers”. This charger has a white glaze and is hand decorated with concentric circles in yellow alternated with lovely small yellow flowers and green leaves. In great condition. Signed “Sidsel” on back and marked “Norway handmade”. A gorgeous centrepiece for your dining room table or on a sideboard.

Gorgeous, vintage, West German pottery vase by Scherich Keramic. This chubby vase has a speckled cream and brown glaze with a couple of lovely hand decorated bright orange flowers, brown leaves and white and brown swirls. Marked W Germany 284/19. There is a glaze fault on one side, please see photo.

Treat yourself to a cold jug of lemonade or ice tea on the patio this summer ….This vintage, acrylic, jug and 4 glasses were produced by Culver features an etched poppy design. The lid of the jug is marked “Culver” and the bottom of the jug and glasses are etched “Culver Taiwan”. In great condition. Jug hold 64 oz and glasses 10 oz.

Tall, stylish, vintage, Studio Pottery jug by Donn Zver. Born in 1948 in Millgrove, Ontario, Zver attended Sheraton College School of Design in 1967 where he studied pottery. In 1972 he opened his studio in Troy, Ontario where he “crafted a distinctive line of functional stoneware pottery”. This tall jug features earth tone glazes with a distinct design on the dark brown glazed top. Signed Zver on base. In great condition.

Beautiful, small, vintage, Italian, Florentine tray. This lovely small tray was “Made in Italy” it is very light in weight as is made of a pressed composition paste that it put into a mould which creates the Baroque style scrolls and design. It is painted antique ivory and gold with jewel tone accents. Perfect to carry 2 wine glasses to the patio or use it for jewelry on your dresser. Some slight wear. Marked “Trade Marked Made in Italy” on back.

What a wet and miserable Sunday 😕.
Hopefully my posts will cheer you all up…First up tonight this small, vintage, Art Deco style Royal Copley planter. This cool piece has a textured wave pattern with a green glaze and small contrasting, white glazed, indent decor on the front. In great condition.
