There is a certain moment each July when the Gallery seems to take a deep breath and says "it's showtime!

Our summer exhibition opens quietly but soon visitors wander in after discovering us on York Street. Art students begin turning up in the park with easels on their shoulders. Conversations become longer, slower, and more colourful.

This is our favourite season—not because it is busy, although it certainly is—but because art has a way of washing over Haliburton Village. It's becomes sidewalk sculptures, ice cream, patios, conversations between strangers, summertime styles, sidewalk chalk and, of course, the Haliburton Art and Craft Festival in Head Lake Park.

Thank you for being part of this community of art-lovers.
