Designs are being cut (still 150 to go), shirts are delivered and organized and I'm ready to dig into work for Hal-con. On tap are 250 bleached t-shirts before the first Friday in November, it looks daunting now but if I'm persistent I can have them done with time to spare. Please wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

The last day of the trip was filled with fish and flowers. We started at the world famous Vancouver Aquarium, where I first fell in love with Marine Biology in 1986 while visiting Expo 86. Then we were off to the rose garden in Stanley Park and a circumnavigation of the whole park to see a few sights. Then we were off to another garden, and by the time we got there I was done. So not so many pictures from there. Then it was off to the airport for a red eye home and a day spent in bed catching up. It was certainly a great vacation. Nearly 4000 km, countless mountains, so many waterfalls, 20 species for my bird life list, four bags of fresh picked cherries and just so many memories that I hope I never forget.

OK, after a slog to get home and a crazy few days catching up at work and home I'm ready to deliver a few more posts from our trip. The last two days were spent in Vancouver. First we went to Lynn Canyon just on the northeast side of Vancouver. It was an amazing trail system through some huge forest, with a suspension bridge, greats spots to get down to the river and sooo many stairs. Who would have known with a name like Lynn CANYON? After a quick bite at Tacofino (highly recommend BTW) we went to the Botanical gardens at UBC and they were absolutely beautiful. We rounded out the day with a "ghost walk", with not so many ghosts but great stories and finished on the balcony of our hotel eating local smoked salmon and cherries.

Well it's Canada Day and we really saw some beautiful parts of it today. We started in Jasper, drove south through Banff and finished with a full transit of Kootenay. By the looks of the pictures on my phone it was a bit of a waterfall day but it was our heaviest wildlife day so far. We started with elk, added big horn sheep, deer, evidence of a black bear, Golden mantled and Columbia ground squirrels and three life list birds, but those pictures are on the camera. It was a privilege to see all this today. Tomorrow brings even more from four parks; Kootenay, Banff, Yoho and Glacier, and a glimpse of a fifth in Mount Revelstoke.

Second day in the National Parks. Today was Banff and Jasper. It was a bit smokey from the fires in Saskatchewan and Manitoba but as we trekked north it slowly cleared. Just a day full of mountain beauty and it continues tomorrow as we go south again and add Kootenay to the list.

Ok, so I've teased this announcement a couple times but here it is. I am happy, excited (and a bit scared) to tell you all I will be at Hal-con (Hal-Con Sci-Fi Fantasy Association) this year.🎆🍾🎉😳 I'll have these 20 designs and then a few more, two of which will be Hal-con premiers. I hope to see as many of you at the show as can make it and would like to add many many more to your ranks. I should have some specials on some of my shirts as well, so there will be a limited number of great deals for those that stop by early.
