Ironing pleats doesn't have to be an ordeal. Just do them in sections and ensure that they are laying flat.

Choose the correct heat setting on your iron for the type of fabric you are working with and iron them on the inside first. This will help keep them flat and formed when you iron it on the outside of your garment.

And hang when not being worn to keep them looking perfectly pleated.

This was from my youngest today. Lol. Her favorite stuffie's pillow came apart and that was just not acceptable. Her words. Not mine. Lol.

Whoever first thought about putting built-in shorts in a girl’s skirt was a genius.

They add extra comfort, coverage, and confidence for all the running, climbing, cartwheels, and playground fun that come with being a kid. They add peace of mind for both kids and parents.

When the skirt doesn't have them though, you can change that by having them added in. Practical, comfortable, and perfect for busy little ones on the go.

It's all in the small details that make an outfit all that much better.

School uniform season will be here before you know it, so don’t wait until the last week of August to get your items in for alteration. Leaving it too late may mean your uniforms aren’t ready in time for the September start.

Please make sure all items, including brand new pieces, are washed in advance.

Pants, jumpers, skirts, and kilts can all be hemmed with a “grow hem” to allow for those unexpected growth spurts.

Also, school crest patches can be sewn on so that it is easier for them to be removed in order to transfer them to a larger polo shirt when it’s time to size up.

Well, that's the last of them. Another graduation season is officially over here at Sew Love This by Sarah.

To all the graduates—whether you're moving on from Grade 8 to high school, graduating from Grade 12, heading to college or university, or starting the next chapter of your life—I hope you had an amazing time celebrating.
