made in hamilton, ontario Who are we? Bed Peace creates intimates to lounge and play in.

We’re just taking the low impact, scenic route to get there. All of our pieces are made from organic cotton and h**p with a wee bit of spandex. why organic cotton and h**p? organic cotton is grown with zero pesticides

h**p needs little water to grow, replenishes the soil with nutrients it grows from, is naturally resistant to most bugs and fungi; meaning it usually doesn’t need to be sprayed wit

h pesticides, produces huge yields meaning it takes up as less earth ! side note: The ways we could be using h**p are WILD. Here are a few of them: non-toxic diesel fuel, plastic, paint, varnish, detergent, ink, paper, house insulation. All production is done locally and ethically in Hamilton, Ontario. Similarly to buying food at your city's farmers market, buying locally produced fashion is nurturing for the community and excellent for our carbon footprints!

About the Designer

Maya studied Fashion Business in Toronto. Honestly, at the time she thought it lacked guts…soul ! But she stuck it out and graduated; taking valuable lessons from fashion history, sustainable solutions and inspiration from fellow fashion kids. She always had the idea to create cool, comfortable intimates that ignored the male gaze and focused on comfort. After gaining skills at an intensive sewing program at George Brown, she felt she had collected enough skills to give life to Bed Peace! She’s been running this slow fashion business for a few years in between life and travel. It brings her a lot of joy and pleasure to see it out in the world! Thanks for being here!

sometimes it feels like we do this hard inner work, go to therapy, speak up for ourselves even when it's awkward, work on our relationship to money/food/whatever... and life is still kinda hard sometimes !!! ⁠
