9 years of Comacan

9 years ago today Comacan officially started. We are so very thankful we’ve been able to be a part of our community for 9 whole years.

Reflecting upon another year of Comacan, we’re so grateful for way too many things to capture in one post but we will try our best.

Firstly, the people! The only way that any of this has been possible has been through from the support of each and every one of you. You’ve all played an important roll in letting Comacan continue to grow and develop into what it is, thank you.

We owe a huge thanks to all the local brands, artists, initiatives that we had the chance to work with and all the events we’ve been able to be a part of. We’ve had the chance to be a part in various events, with such wonderful people across the skateboarding community and beyond. We are very proud to support local in all ways that we can.

Last but certainly not least, skate shops. Thank you for continuing to weather the storm and keep supplying quality product to your local communities. You are a pillar of strength, the unsung heroes of your local community. We are so thankful we’ve have the chance to not only showcase our product in your stores but actively work alongside you to buildup the local scene, keep skateboarders rolling and inspire the next generation.

This year, like any, had its fill of happiness and hardship. We remember those we’ve lost, we learn from the lessons and are grateful for each and every day.

Another year of

Happy birthday Scot!
Every year, approaching Scot’s birthday I take some time and reflect on what his friendship means to me personally. In doing so, I often find myself looking at a friendship with someone that isn’t just a great friend and business partner but a strong, supportive, inspiring part of many communities.

Comacan has always been a passion project with gratitude and love for the community at its core, I like to refer to it as community based skateboarding. This idea that we’ve been so thankful to bring to life is because Scot has this deep love and dedication for his fellow community around him.

Anyone that has been lucky enough to interact with Scot can see his love, passion and commitment to the betterment of the skateboarding community (and beyond) is not only a driving factor that inspires others but it’s also second nature to him.
