News/Update for the Abbington Pickets General Store at Meadow Creek Farm.
Well a lot has changed since I last posted regarding the General Store. But don’t worry! It’s for the good! Or should I say for the great! God has really got a plan for us and this new adventure we are about to begin.
This past winter an opportunity presented its self and we ran with it! My hubby and I decided to purchase an old house (just my type!) with a beautiful yard of fruit trees, herbs, many flower beds and gardens, right up my alley. Here’s the cool part: This house was built in 1898 in Cannington Manor! Wait, it gets cooler! It was built by Cannington Manor’s Blacksmith! Now, you all know my passion for my novel series, which is inspired by Cannington Manor, so you can understand why I am so thrilled about this!
Well, after a lot of prayer and sleepless nights, we have decided to bring my dream of opening my General Store to life, here in Carlyle, in this special house! Not only is it going to be a General Store but also a Tea Room!
The Abbington Pickets General Store will soon open in this historic home—a place where you can browse antiques, books, handcrafted goods, herbs, and organic grain and flour while stepping back in time to enjoy an old-fashioned tea experience at Abigail’s Tea Room.
We are in the process of cleaning, painting, and preparing each room, and we cannot wait to share this journey with you.
Stay tuned—there is so much more to come.
