Some people see an engagement ring.

We see this. ❤️

When Cody first came to us, we knew this wasn't just another ring. He was thoughtful, intentional, and one of those truly salt-of-the-earth people who cared about every little detail. He wasn't shopping for jewellery. He was preparing to ask the love of his life to spend forever with him.

That's the part of this business people don't always see.

We spend weeks, and sometimes months, getting to know our clients. We hear their stories. We learn what makes their relationship special. We help design a ring that reflects the person who will wear it, and then...

We wait.

We wait for the proposal.

We wonder how it went. We hope everything went exactly as planned. We get excited when the message comes in, and when our phone lights up with a photo like this, we can't help but smile.

We are careful about when we can call and when we can't. Sometimes we use code words in text so we don't give the surprise away!

To some, selling engagement rings is simply a business transaction.

To us, it's an absolute privilege.

We feel incredibly blessed to be woven into one of the most meaningful moments of someone's life. Long after the proposal is over, the flowers have faded, and the celebration has ended, this moment becomes a memory they'll carry forever.

Let's talk Rhodium Plating...

White gold jewellery naturally loses its bright white finish over time. That’s because most white gold is created with a slightly warm tone and finished with rhodium plating to give it that brilliant, mirror-like shine that people love.

At Mike’s Custom Jewellery, every custom piece tells a story, and Meghan & Jeff’s ring was one we were truly honoured to be part of.

This beautiful two-tone, vintage-inspired engagement ring was designed completely from scratch through a collaborative process spanning different cities. From the very first conversations and sketches, to refining every detail through the design and 3D printing stages, this ring was a true labour of love.

Custom jewellery is never just about the finished piece. It is about bringing someone’s vision, memories, and dreams to life. Meghan had a vision for her dream ring, and together we worked through every step to make it a reality.

From casting and soldering to finishing and stone setting, countless hours of craftsmanship went into creating a one-of-a-kind piece that will last a lifetime. A huge thank you to Al for bringing this incredible design to fruition with such care and precision.

Creating custom jewellery is not always an easy process. It takes patience, collaboration, creativity, and trust, but that is what makes every finished piece so meaningful and unique.

Mike’s Custom Jewellery stands with the workers of CAMI Automotive.

In our tight knit town of Ingersoll, the plant at 300 Ingersoll Street has long been more than just a workplace. It has been a pillar of hope, a foundation for so many families, and a thread that ties our community together. Since opening its doors in 1989, CAMI has played a major role in employing local residents, sustaining small businesses, and keeping the heart of our town beating strong.

Both Mike and Al began their careers at CAMI. It helped build them. It helped build us. Because of that, this isn’t just about jobs. It’s personal.

The workers at CAMI are our neighbours. They shop in our stores. They eat in our restaurants. They give their time and their money to our local charities. When CAMI thrives, our town thrives. And when its workers worry, we all feel it.

Next week, from Wednesday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., there will be peaceful demonstrations at the CAMI plant. If you are able, we encourage you to go and show your support. Show up for the workers, for their families, and for the future of our community.

At Mike’s Custom Jewellery, we believe in shop local and support local. Today, that means standing beside those who have helped make this town what it is.
