One of the great things about living in a town in the midst of Farm Country is that some of your friends are ACTUALLY farmers……and not only do they share their bounty with you, they share their wisdom as well!

This week’s Fun Farm Fact…….if you slice the end of a Pickling Cuke from where it was attached to the vine, and rub it against the cuke, you will draw the bitterness out and be left with a cuke that taste very much like a super fresh English Cucumber - only better!!

PS slices are an excellent inclusion in a sandwich, for a crisp crunch in every bite!

WEDNESDAY WHIMSY……..the perfect roadster for late summer road tripping!

* 1960’s Battery Operated Mystery Action Veteran Car Tin Toy.
Made in Japan, modelled after antique roadsters.
When fully functional it had Bump N Go Action, Engine Noise, Lighted Lamps and steam erupting from the Hood Vent.
This particular vehicle shows wear & tear from generations of players, and no longer performs that way…..it does however have a pretty snappy aftermarket Canadian decal!!
About 9” long, 4.5” wide and 4” tall….great addition to a Shelfie in a Gearhead’s Den!

Despite Mother Nature being a bear yesterday causing the cancellation of Ingersoll’s Harvest Festival, the Livingston’s were able to rehome a DRIZZLY BEAR of their own from Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre plus pick up an Ants by Deb Cartoons 🐜 activity book, supporting transitions_eal .

And

TODAY is the last ☀ sunset vintage market ☀ for the season……despite the deluge we are experiencing here, Port Stanley remains in the sunny south and all systems are GO!
