Today, I post with both sadness and hope.
In 2019, when Fish Whipped Apparel first launched, we ran a very successful Breast Cancer Awareness Jersey campaign. Through that campaign, proceeds were donated directly to the breast cancer organization we partnered with, and I had the privilege of meeting many incredible people, including Cory Thomson from Belleville, Ontario, who proudly supported the cause by purchasing several of the jerseys.
Seven years later, Cory's family is facing a battle no family should ever have to endure.
His wife, Ali Tait, is a beautiful, vibrant wife, devoted mother of three amazing children, and is now beginning her fight against cervical cancer.
Like so many families facing cancer, they are dealing not only with the emotional and physical toll, but also the financial burden. Daily travel of 45 minutes to an hour each way to Kingston Hospital, lost income, and treatment-related expenses that are not fully covered all add up during an already overwhelming time.
To help, Babz Outdoors designed a special Cervical Cancer Awareness Jersey in Ali's honour. Every dollar of profit from the sale of these jerseys will go directly to Ali Tait and her family to help ease the financial pressures while they focus on what truly matters—her recovery.
Cancer doesn't discriminate. Whether you've lost someone to breast cancer, cervical cancer, melanoma, leukemia, or any other form of this devastating disease, you know the impact it has on an entire family.
