I try my best to cut my patterns with as little material waste as possible. Let's take it to the next level - a parka made out of the remnants of fabric from previous parka projects ✨️

This parka was inspired by my artist sibling, Siku (). Once before, after completing a parka, I was about to throw away some of my material scraps when Siku stopped me. They wanted to salvage some pieces of fabric for their art. If you know Siku, you also know that their style is very colourful 💙💜💚

Today I participated in my first community craft fair as a vendor here in Iqaluit. Thank you to the Toonik Tyme Festival for hosting the craft fair and to my aunt, of , for sharing her table with me. It was so nice to see so many members of our community 😊

For years I've passed up the opportunity to sell my work at our local craft fairs. The idea of putting myself and my work out there in this way was out of my comfort zone but it turned out to be a great experience. I hope to continue to participate in our local craft fairs as a vendor in the future 😊

This was a custom order as a surprise gift to a lucky lady. It ended up being a perfect fit and getting to see her glow up after putting it on was oh so satisfying 🖤 yay.
