First shirt commission done and delivered! It was sent off a while ago I just forgot to upload pictures. This is made with a linen cotton blend and reenforced gussets so that it can be used for SCA rapier combat.

I made some removable helm covers for a friend a few months ago! They approached me with some leftover over fabric that had been used to make them garb/costume wanting to know if it could be made into matching helm covers. The answer was yes! All the fabric stamping was done by someone else. I just took their work and made it fit the fencing helm and ensured the pattern was symmetrical on the back

I love this video, My first jump into making garb for the sca was making garments in that middle time just before cod pieces and joined hose. It’s still a favourite era of clothing for me.

I have to look for more pictures of this grey farsetto, I don’t wear it often since it laces up I can’t take it off as easily as my red one. I made it out of lighter wool and an unknown material that I had on hand for the lining. As with most of my garb it was made to fight rapier in.

My red farsetto made for fighting in, it’s missing a couple things to make a ‘proper’ outfit but it does what I needed it to do for armour if you will. I had at one point also made the correct shirt for this style of clothing. The neck folded so nicely. But alas an unfixed cat made a mess of that shirt.

This really has been the biggest deep dive hyper fixation project I’ve ever had. I’ve learned so much making this out fit. I have one one piece to finish it all off. But I consider it done at the moment. I made everything except the socks and shoes. And I’m so incredibly proud of it all. The sleeve drafting process took the longest since I wanted to be able to fight in this out fit. I needed a full range of motion and I know now how to make sleeves to accommodate that and I have better understanding of why sleeves from the period were drafted the way they were. Thank you to those who started the
challenge.
