AlleyCATS Alliance is a cat rescue very close to my heart. Not only did I adopted my sweet little Kai from them, but they also took in 7 stray cats that we caught, when other rescues wouldn't.

When the lovely Bev saw my sandwich board signs, she commented that one of them would be great for their adoption and fundraiser events. Say less! I'm on it! πŸ˜‚ One side includes QR codes for information on how to donate or volunteer, as well as their website address. The other side includes their social media handles as well as 2 magnetic strips that allows for event specific customization. And both sides feature the AlleyCATS Alliance logo.

If you are looking to add an indoor kitty to your lives, check out the AlleyCATS Alliance social pages or if you can, please donate to help the forgotten felines of the Okanagan β™₯️

**SCAM ALERT!!** And this one is very good. If you received this email inviting you to apply for the Vernon Festival of Crafts, it is a fake. I was 90% certain it was a scam, and after forwarding the email to Tanya, it was confirmed. Do not send these people any money. The email looks very convincing, but the address it has been sent from is fake. Applications for the Festival of Crafts are available on their website, vernonpresents.ca only!! The real email address for Tanya is [email protected]

It is hard enough being a vendor without being targeted by scams like these and with the Christmas season quickly approaching, I'm sure they will become even more rampant than they already are. Be vigilant and spread the word to expose these scammers. Checking the email address and comparing it to market organizers website or socials accounts is a great way to verify these invitations. Cold calls for markets of this size are also highly unusual. And as always, if you are unsure, reach out to the market community to ask before you give anyone money. The market community has each other's backs β™₯️

One more tent sign out the door, this time for my market bestie, the lovely Ogopogosoapco! This handpainted sign features her brand new logo and is oh so eye catching! It is by far my most elaborate sign to date but I am so happy with how it came out. ☺️

Have you tried Ogopogo Soap Co yet? Definitely check out her seriously fun lineup of handmade bath and body products or have fun making your own by signing up for one of her newly launched classes! I guarantee with Donna at the helm, her classes are going to be a blast! 🧼🫧

Happy International Dog Day to all the doggos out there from my little market mutt, Max seen here totally blissed out and happy after a visit to the local farmers market πŸ₯° See, I managed to tie this post back in to the market world. It's not completely off topic. πŸ˜‰πŸ€πŸ˜

Another sandwich board out the door! Papas Pickles had an empty metal frame already and asked if I could turn it into a market sign. I love how the colours came out on this one to make a very eye catching sign! Made from wood and completely handpainted, the arrow is also magnetic giving the sign flexibility to be switched up.

Have you tried Papa's Pickles yet?

Another set of signs done! This time a little bit shorter in length for a Hand-blended spices in the Okanagan in-store retail display and with pre cut holes to make hanging quick and easy. I really like how these came out.
Have you tried Jerry's Faves rubs and drink rimmers yet? Perfect for those summer BBQ's, you can find them at local markets and in store, including at SIMPS MODERN BEVERAGE! Go check them out!

Story time! (Sorry, it will be a bit long, but you'll understand why if you read it) And a throwback to Max's first Pawsibilities Bakeshop pupcake! This weekend, Pawsibilities Bakeshop is holding a fantastic event benefitting evacuated pups and their people.

You don't have to be following me long to know I'm an animal lover, but what you likely don't know is I nearly lost my home to a wildfire in 2017. The fire came on fast and furious, with no warning and no time to think, much like many of the people out of their homes right now. The registration process is long and your stress level is high. Now make it worse by not being able to have your pet with you. Thankfully, I have family in town so my dog and cat were able to stay with them, in a place that was familiar. But many aren't that lucky. There are so many essentials to consider, but what you really crave is some normalcy. A moment to just think about anything else and that's a big part of why I encourage you to check out this event. Friends gave me a care package with some chews and toys for my boys when we were out and I cannot tell you how badly we needed it. Being able to watch my boys enjoy their goodies and forget for just a moment was huge. For a moment all that mattered was how happy the boys were and that meant everything.

This is what this event is giving to people who are evacuated right now. This event is giving a moment of happy to these evacuated dogs and their people. It is giving them a moment to be somewhere else other than on evacuation. It is giving them a break. It may seem so small, but when your world has been completely turned upside down, and at a moments notice, the small things are huge.

For $4 you can sponsor a chicken foot chew for a dog, $5 will sponsor a care pack of goodies or you can buy a pack of Pawsibilities Bakeshop's pupcakes and $5 will be donated from that sale. (Max highly recommends them, as you can see! πŸ˜‚πŸ₯°).
You will be able to find her set up in the tunnel at the Kelowna Farmers' Market tomorrow (Saturday) and downtown in Kerry Park on Sunday. Can't make it? Check out her page and send her a dm to help. Check out her latest posts to learn more as well. οΏ½
