WORLD OCEAN DAY: Don’t Lose Your Marbles
Abandoned fishing nets are the single biggest source of large plastic in the ocean, around 640,000 tonnes every year. The gear built to pull life out of the water ends up choking it.
As we keep developing our fly line recycling program and work toward a circular plastic loop, we decided to put that thinking into our new lineup too. Our oceans and rivers are deeply intertwined, and what we do for one we do for both.
One of the models in our upcoming June launch is the UNDERCUT, made from 99% recycled fishing net pellets sourced from French waters and commercial fishing boats (Fil & Fab). Reclaiming that nylon keeps nets out of the water and makes the frame more crack and break resistant.
Healthier oceans, tougher frames.
Marble UNDERCUT, coming soon.
