To say it's been a crazy week is an understatement... everything was on track until someone decided to help themselves to my package of wood that was delivered on Tuesday. I was so lucky that a few fellow laser owners sold me some wood to replace what was stolen. Long story short, I ended up getting it back by someone who found it downtown yesterday.

So I hustled last night and today to finish all of the Back to School Signs before I head to Toronto tomorrow.

Yesterday was also my last market of the season so I'm looking forward to a little break. All other pending orders will be done next week.

It's a busy week over here!

Last week before school starts. How did that happen so fast? All Back to School Signs will be done before Friday.

Also, this is my last week at the Matiowski Market on Wednesday. I love market season but it's a lot of work and I am looking forward to getting back to supply teaching. Don't worry, I will still be taking orders throughout the school year.

My little lady and I are also heading to Toronto this weekend to celebrate the life of my beautiful cousin and Aunty to Hunter and Rowy. So all messages and custom orders will be dealt with once we are back.

🎒BACK TO SCHOOL GIVEAWAY! 🍎

With Back to School just around the corner, I’ve decided to do something a little different this year. I’ll be putting together two special giveaway sets — one for a deserving teacher/educator and one for a deserving student!

Nominate a Teacher/Educator

Nominate your favorite teacher! And no, they don’t have to be a classroom teacher. You can nominate an educational assistant, ECE, administrator, support staff member, or anyone else in your school who deserves a little extra appreciation.

Nominate a Student

Know a student who could use some new school supplies and a little extra excitement heading into the new school year? Nominate them for a back-to-school package that will include school supplies, a backpack, water bottle, customized items, a personalized back-to-school sign, and more!

I know that not every family has the means to purchase brand-new, beautiful back-to-school items, so please be thoughtful when choosing your nominee.

A few "rules":
• Teacher/educator and student nominations must be from local Kenora schools.
• When filling out the nomination form, please include a little description explaining why you are nominating this person.
• You may remain anonymous if you prefer.
• Nominations will be accepted until Tuesday, August 25th at 11:59 PM CST.

I haven’t finalized the exact items that will be included in each giveaway yet, but you can definitely expect custom and personalized items in both!

Let’s make going back to school a little extra special for two deserving members of our Kenora school community.

Tomorrow is Market day and I have been sewing like crazy. If I look like a hot mess express tomorrow just feel free to look away 🤦‍♀️ Sewing while trying to play referee between both kids and making sure my dog doesn't chew everything in sight.... do not recommend!

But I will have a ton of Newborn to 6 month beanies on sale as well as a bunch of loveys in addition to the usual towels, blankets, and wooden items!

Well I have good news and bad news....

Bad news is I may not be at the Market tomorrow. I'm on a waitlist and I haven't heard anything yet. But, I am prepping just in case I get the call.

Good news is that I will be opening up a pre-order for Back to School Signs. I hope to have it ready today or tomorrow so keep an eye out for that.

I will keep you updated on whether I will be there tomorrow or not. Cross your fingers for me 🤞
