✨Wedding season is upon us!

I love working with wedding gowns because achieving the perfect fit for a bride is paramount to her looking and feeling at ease on her special day. Shopping off the rack can be easier on the wallet, but the chances of finding one that fits perfectly are pretty slim.

That’s where I come in! This dress was originally a size 12, before I took it down to a 0/2. Working with the intricate lace details was tricky but such a pleasure. The long train was breathtaking but needed a bustle for the reception, as many dresses do. The bride was thrilled with the outcome and I garnered another knotch on my unique alteration tool belt!

Welcome to Suzie’s Sewing!

I’m Suzie: a lifelong avid seamstress who loves to tackle any and all sewing projects. I’m originally from Quebec ( happy to chat in either French or English 🙂 ), and have lived in Fredericton for the last 20+ years.

I’ve spent many years honing my craft and am confident I can tackle any task that comes my way. From simple hemming jobs, (hey, they need to be done! ) to the trickiest and most detailed wedding or prom gown alterations, (a helpful skill whilst raising seven daughters) to the more creative side; like unique gifting options (think kid’s towels, apron +chef hat sets,.. the options are endless!) I really do enjoy it all.
