Froid’art 2024
Beginning January 27, Martello Alley once again presents Froid’art, an enchanting outdoor art walk through Downtown Kingston. It’s a showcase for local artists, whose works are frozen in crystal-clear displays. Use the self-guided walking tour (https://downtownkingston.ca/blogs/upcoming-events/froid-art) to visit the works at Martello Alley, Tara Natural Foods, Rochleau Court, BMO Nesbitt Burns and the Kingston Visitor Information Centre. Take the tour at night and experience the displays under colourful lights. With only one day remaining before our two-week break, we’re getting down to the true essentials that will carry you through the deepest, darkest winter days ahead. And what better way to brighten your life than with a comfy roll-necked sweater in ballet pink? Remember gazing fondly at your old LP covers on a shelf across the room? The designers at A Fish Named Fred sure do, and they’ve immortalized that mental image in a throwback long-sleeved sport shirt (regular $175, now $131.25). Look closely and you can even read names on the album spines. But back to fashion: Fred, known for outside-the-box thinking, has created a modern-cut, stretch-cotton shirt, with cool contrast buttons and brand embroidery on the inside of the cuffs.
