Ever wonder what goes on behind the lenses you wear every day? 👓✨

Lab’Optical took us behind the scenes for a private tour of the Novacel Ophthalmique lab in France 🇫🇷 and it was such a unique experience!

We got to see firsthand the incredible attention to detail that goes into every lens, from the initial stages of production to the finishing touches that make each lens perfect. Seeing the technology, craftsmanship and quality-control process up close gave us a whole new appreciation for what happens behind the scenes before a pair of lenses ever reaches your optical store.

📖STORY TIME:
For the past 3 years, there is a woman that everytime she visits Ontario, she always comes to the shop. We look for frames and almost always find something we love, but there is always something that holds both of us back from choosing them. It could be the bridge was too wide, the frame was too big, the frame didn't suit her prescription, etc.
Last year when I was at Silmo, chosing frost eyewear I had her in mind. I was determined to find something that not only suit her, but was perfect for her prescription. hadn't seen her for almost 8 months, and thought "she isn't coming back".
2 weeks ago, she walked in and I didn't even say "hi". I said "omg I have frames you would LOVE!" The final 3 frames we picked were all Frost eyewear. Any of them would have been a great choice. The Lily in mint was the one.💚

First time progressive (multi focal lens) so we defintely chose Volcane lenses that our Canadian lab Novacel Canada (Lab’Optical) beautifuly made.

I am so happy we finally found at least one pair!

P.s. that plant is fine 🤣

I defintely cannot take credit for styling her, but to be fair, every pair of glasses she wore looked amazing on her! I love her unique sense of style and I am glad Eyedentity is now apart of it!

So why didbwe pick the LOEWE Slim over everything else? This double bridge acts as an accessory to her. Eventhough this is a large frame, it doesn't overpower her face. The angles on the frame sharpen up her features. Also, she doesn't have anything like this in her collection.

Imagine recieving an email from your customer with these beautiful photos on top of a mountain in Slovakia.
I knew she was going for hikes on her next trip and we wanted a lens that would be comfortable to wear in any weather. The Maui Rose lenses were my number 1 choice. No matter if it is bright and sunny or cloudy and rainy, this lens gives you a dark shade to shield your eyes from the harsh sunlight and also high contrast to easily distinguish different depths and colours.

I asked her if she could take a photo with and without the lenses for us to take in the beauty. SWIPE TO SEE ⏩️⏩️

The way these glasses suit her aesthetic 👌
When I first introduced Glossi to the office, she knew she had to have one. The most challenging part of chosing this frame was what colour to pick. All of them looked fantastic on her, but this one was absolutely the best choice.

I can always tell you what is in fashion, but at the end of the day, the frame that suits YOU is what you need to go for.
