This is the BIGGEST reason I tell people...if you're going to burn candles, set them on your stove top and run the exhaust fan on low. The black is soot from the candles. Its in the air, lands on the walls etc...and you're breathing this in. Soy candles produce less soot...but still produce. I can clean this off the walls and your stove filters, but I can't clean it out of your lungs.
