We are famous worldwide for our polite manners, beautiful landscapes, and freezing winters, but our contribution to the globe goes way beyond apologizing and maple syrup! Growing up up north, you realize pretty quickly how many everyday marvels were born right in our own backyard. Have you ever zipped up your winter coat, cheered for a spectacular slam dunk, or reached for a Coffee Crisp when you needed a sweet treat? Yep, all completely Canadian! We’ve given the world everything from insulin and the telephone to the very first game of baseball. And yes, almost every single one of us shares the hilarious, traumatic childhood memory of getting our tongues stuck to a frozen metal pole in the dead of winter. 😂 From our beautifully colourful money to knowing in our hearts that Mr. Dressup will always hold the ultimate television crown, there is a unique, deeply woven pride in being from the True North. We don't always brag, but when we reflect on our history, it’s hard not to feel a massive wave of love for this country. ❤️🍁
