Some people just don’t understand the thrill of the hunt. But if you get it, YOU GET IT.

When I get something in my head, there’s no stopping me. 😅 And for the last couple of weeks, that’s been THIS vintage copy of Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears

I’d been frantically hunting Facebook Marketplace, waiting for the right one to pop up. AND THEN THE UNIVERSE DELIVERED!!

Naturally, I got in my car. 😎

An hour of winding country roads, the most GORGEOUS fall colors and a little visit to a man on a farm later, I had my record.

This is what I love so much about vintage hunting. It’s never just about the “thing” you’re bringing home. It’s the searching, the anticipation, the places you end up and the little stories that come with every find.

And now I get to listen to Everybody Wants to Rule The World on repeat to my hearts content. 😌

I KNOW I’m not the only one who will go to ridiculous lengths for a vintage find… what’s the farthest you’ve travelled for something you just HAD to have!?

A new vintage destination has officially arrived in Vieux-Saint-Eustache. 🤎🍂

And truly… could there be a more perfect setting?!

I had the absolute pleasure of getting a little sneak peek inside Deux & Co before their official opening, and I am SO excited for Val & Emilie.

I originally connected with these two lovely ladies through Instagram, and seeing what they’ve created in person made me admire them even more. So much time, thought and love has gone into this space, and IT SHOWS.

The shop is absolutely gorgeous, but more importantly, it’s filled with treasures you’ll actually want to dig through. Vintage home décor, art, collectibles and so much more.

And the PRICES.

Everything was so reasonably priced, especially for such a beautifully curated vintage shop. You can absolutely come here, find something special and leave without feeling like you paid the “boutique vintage” premium.

A hidden gem… that’s actually hidden. 😂✨
Boutique Tranches de vies in Vaudreuil!

Tucked away from the main drag, this is one of those places where the outside gives you NO idea what you’re about to walk into.

Because inside? It’s massive. And there is soooo much to dig through.

Books, tons of kids’ toys and clothing, a whole section dedicated to clothing, housewares, vintage finds… basically the kind of place where you need to take your time and HUNT.

Naturally, I went into full digging mode and came out with some very cute cottagecore finds. 🙊

This is a small, family-run business, so definitely check their page for current hours before making the trip.

“But what are the prices like?” 👀

Probably the #1 question I get on my vintage shop tours, and also one of the hardest to answer.

Because what’s expensive to me might be a steal to you, and what I’m willing to spend $50 on, you might walk right past. 😂

That’s the beauty of vintage shopping. There really is something for every budget, and the best way to know what a shop’s prices are like is to go in, browse, and see for yourself.

And one more thing, don’t be afraid to negotiate!

Be respectful, make a reasonable offer, and see what happens. The worst they can say is no, and who knows? You might score big.

Add this one to your up north road trip stops!! Summer ain’t over yet!!

If you’re heading into the Laurentians or spending some time around Mont-Tremblant, make the scenic drive through Saint-Rémi-d’Amherst and stop at Brocante d’autrefois. 💕

The shop is only open seasonally until mid-October, so there are just a few more weeks to visit before they close for the year!

Take your time, enjoy the beautiful Laurentian views along the way, and leave a little extra room in the car for the treasures you’ll inevitably find. 😉

One day. Over 150 vendors. Countless treasures. ✨

The Lachute Expo is one of those events that vintage lovers look forward to all year, and after spending the day exploring, it’s easy to see why.

From antiques and vintage décor to collectibles, signs, toys, artwork, furniture, and so many one-of-a-kind finds, there was something waiting around every corner.

One of my favourite parts was seeing how beautifully curated so many of the booths were. The vendors put so much thought into their displays, making the entire experience feel like walking through hundreds of tiny vintage boutiques. Chef’s kiss. 👏🏼

‼️Missed this year’s expo? You don’t have to wait until next summer to visit Lachute. The Lachute Flea Market is open every Sunday and Tuesday, where you can browse antiques, vintage finds, collectibles, and fresh market vendors throughout the season.

And if you want to experience the Expo for yourself, be sure to follow their Facebook and Instagram pages so you don’t miss next year’s date. It only happens once a year!

This has become one of my favourite traditions of the summer. 🎨

I’ve been coming to Art de Vivre for three years now, and it never disappoints!!

The setting is beautiful, the weather always seems to cooperate, and you can easily spend a few hours wandering through the curated gallery discovering incredible Canadian artists, vintage pieces, and antiques around every corner. It’s one of those events where you slow down, take it all in, and leave feeling inspired. 😍

If you’re looking for something to do tomorrow, I couldn’t recommend it more.

First vintage market pop-up ✅ DONE!!

A few months ago, the idea of participating in a vintage market felt exciting, but also a little intimidating.

Would people come?
Would anyone buy anything?
Was I bringing too much stuff?
Was I completely overthinking all of it?

On Saturday - none of that mattered.

What mattered was meeting so many kind, supportive people, sharing stories about vintage treasures, and seeing an idea come to life.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Your Vintage Compass booth, made a purchase, followed along, or simply came over to chat. Meeting so many of you in person was truly the highlight of the day.

A special thank you to Kyle, who helped make it all happen, from loading two carloads of vintage finds to setting up, packing down, and everything in between.

And thank you the Fondation Hormisdas Pilon for organizing such a wonderful event and welcoming us to the Marché des Mémoires.

As for me? I’m already thinking about the next one. ✨

Sometimes the thing you’ve been thinking about is worth trying.
