Earlier this week, surrounded by family my mother and GOGO’s founder passed away. She fought an intense 5 year battle with cancer that is now over.
GOGO was born, like me, in the small ski village of Banff, AB, Canada. Mum offered up mostly one of a kind GOGO sweaters from her store Mountain Magic. Her quest to produce original fashion was something I experience first hand and later, when I took over the company in 2008, implemented into my own design practice. “If it’s already be done, I’m not interested” she said in an interview once.
She was my mentor a shoulder to cry on when the industry got too tough. She always provided words of wisdom and a place to vent without judgment. She has left a legacy that I will proudly carry on. I miss you mummy thank you for life and thank you for GOGO💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
