It's not always rainbows and music in my vintage booth πŸ˜…πŸŒˆ
And I dont always have my sh*t together either πŸ˜‚
This is just a glimpse of the ever changing booth and trying to juggle work and bringing in new inventory.
One thing I do not love about having my brain is the chaos that comes with it. I usually go in early before work to bring in new stock and quickly rearrange as well as on my break.
But of course, I ran out of time. As you can tell. πŸ™ƒ

Anyone want some glorious treasures?

I have to move some wall art to cover that empty wall space as I do well with my wall art! πŸ’š But I got this gorgeous new slim showcase that lights up-so Im trying to figure out the best location for it.
Anyone else have their sh*t together? Or just riding the waves as it comes too?

I know, I've been less active over the Summer on this page and for good reasons! 🀎
1. I needed a bit of a mental break from managing multiple social media accounts-especially with the kids home for the Summer break and working FT. And the Village Antiques Mall has been crazy busy all Summer long! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
2. My studio at home needed a lot of TLC.
And this brings me to my next topic! My STUDIO! πŸ€ŽπŸ‘‰

My studio at home is in a two car port garage!
It's the never ending work space that goes thru changes like no tomorrow. It will be organized one day, and chaotic the next.
And every time I went thru a booth reset, or had market, or accumulated a large amount of inventory-the studio would once again, be in shambles. And thus, hello anxiety.

Well the last 6 months, especially this year, I made a promise to myself. To get better at creating a system that works with my ADHD brain and home/ work life.

Having my stock inside the house, pricing, cleaning, it was taking over the family room, dining table, kitchen counter...you name it. I couldnt escape from work when I got home. And it stressed everyone out.

I put the two black shelves I got from Costco near the entrance. It hold totes of small collections such as tins, Xmas stock, plushies etc. And holds my larger items.

With multiple trial and errors, I finally figured out a system that works best for my own lifestyle, working style and mind.
I needed two different work spaces:
1. A table where I do product cleaning, and repairing
2. A table where I do my research, prepping and pricing my inventory and a system at that table where all my materials are easily accessibles for efficient workflow (this was a BIG one!) Being a person with ADHD-I need to visually be able to see everything but not have it laid out everywhere that it easily gets mixed in with other stuff or goes missing.

This area was a genius idea I came up with last minute. Yes, as a person with ADHD and a creative mind-My brain NEVER goes quiet. I'm always thinking of ideas, amd ways to improve the system. Are all my ideas great? Oh heck no! But thats the beauty of life: did you fail? Or did you just kick it up next level to get a better solution?

You know what I love about having a curated booth?
Feeling that inspiration, seeing a vision and bringing it to life πŸ’š
I'm slowly working on a new area in my booth that is a space of intentional trinkets with brooches, photographs, vanity decor, jewelry vessels and more πŸ’š

I have a confession...🀫
I think my ADHD might actually be one of my biggest strengths as a vintage seller. πŸ‘€
I spend a lot of time behind the scenes sourcing treasures, but if there's one thing you'll quickly learn about me... it's that I get bored.
πŸ˜‚ (Hello, ADHD... always chasing that little dopamine hit.)
One thing I love about having a booth for Emerald City Vintage is that nothing has to stay permanent. I get to create my own little narrative. One day it feels like stepping into Grandma's 1960s kitchen, the next it's a cozy farmhouse, and before long it's transformed into something completely different.
Honestly, I think that's part of why my booth does so well. I never want someone to walk in and think, "I've already seen everything." I want every visit to feel like a little surpriseβ€”another treasure to discover or a completely different feeling than the last time they stopped by.
Do people think I'm a little crazy for constantly changing everything? Absolutely. πŸ˜‚
But they also know that's just part of who I am... and they cheer me on anyway. ❀️
So if you've visited before, don't be surprised if it looks completely different the next time you stop by. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Today was a much needed day off after working 4 days in the heat. I went to visit my good friend Tabitha this morning and then came home, made a latte and worked on a little project. I got these two vintage flour sack bags from Fort Langley Antiques Mall | 60+ Vendor Collective πŸ’š
One of them had some thread from what looked like a project someone gave up on-but I managed to take the threading out, ironed them and framed them!
I put them next to the new hutch I got from the Vintage Pasture Sale last weekend.
I'm hoping to find at least one more vtg flour sack bag (with more blue tones) to make a mini collage πŸ’š

Here is my resistance against perfection on my feed.
Im tired of hyperfixating on the perfect photos, the perfect angle, making sure my grammar is good, all of it. Im just tired πŸ˜‚
So Im breaking the perfection and giving you this:
On the couch after working two days in a row in a hot hot mall in 34+ degree weather. Im exhausted. Feeling mom guilt for working while the kids are on Summer breaks. ✌️ And fully eating this bowl of ice cream knowing I should be eating my grapes instead.
Balance. Right?
Anyways, buy my stuff at the Village Antique Mall. πŸ˜‚
G'NIGHT!
