October is going to be a quiet market month for Needle & Gent, but it’s a good one.

I’ll be at the 31st Annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival on Saturday, October 10. It’s a big day in Fort Langley, and I’m looking forward to being part of it.

Otherwise, I’ll be happily taking advantage of the cooler fall weather and spending plenty of time behind the sewing machine, building stock for what I’m hoping will be a very busy holiday market season.

A fresh batch of Porters in new reclaimed upholstery fabrics.

Each one is lined in fully water-resistant canvas and finished with a secure interior zip pocket and a structured stay-open frame, so it’s easy to see and reach everything inside.

A practical little bag, made from some very good-looking rescued fabric.

Tomorrow night, I’m taking Needle & Gent to C***r & Couture at Manners C***r.

I’ve been finishing pieces, checking zips and hardware, and packing the pop-up. I’ll have a selection of small-run bags and accessories made from reclaimed upholstery and other reclaimed textiles.

Along with the pop-up shop, the evening includes a runway show, seasonal c***r, a silent auction, live DJ and red carpet. A portion of event proceeds will support BC wildfire relief through the Canadian Red Cross.

On Tuesday, Sept 22, I’ll be setting up Needle & Gent at C***r & Couture at Manners C***r in Langley.

The evening brings together a runway show, local makers, seasonal c***r, a silent auction, live DJ and red carpet. A portion of event proceeds will support BC wildfire relief through the Canadian Red Cross.

I’ll be bringing a selection of hand-made bags and accessories made from reclaimed textiles. I’ll share a closer look at what is coming with me over the next few days.
