🖤💀 CLOSING ONE CHAPTER… AND HEADING INTO THE NEXT 💀🖤

I don’t even know if I have the right words for how grateful I am tonight.

To the incredible ladies who showed up and helped us pack up Skeletons In Our Closet — THANK YOU. 🖤

You packed, carried, wrapped, organized, cleaned, lifted, laughed and helped turn what felt like an absolutely overwhelming job into something we could actually conquer. And looking at these pictures… holy crap. We did it. 🥹

There are a lot of emotions wrapped up in these black bags and boxes. Evansburg was a huge chapter of our story. It gave Skeletons a place to grow, taught us more than we ever expected, and brought some pretty amazing people into our lives.

And now, because of some seriously wonderful friends...and of course my incredibly amazing husband who gave us their time, their muscles and their hearts, we're ready to close this door. 🖤

Next stop… LEDUC. 💀🩷💚

A new store. A new community. A whole new adventure. And I cannot freaking wait to see what this next chapter becomes.

To every single one of you who helped us get here — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget who showed up when we needed it most. 🥹🖤

Soooo Facebook and I are breaking up for a week or so. 😂

I have a house to pack, a store to pack, approximately 9,652 things on my list and about 1 million moving pieces happening at the exact same time.

And I am TIRED 😂

I love you all...but Facebook has somehow become another full-time job and right now I just don’t have it in me to answer messages, comments, questions and everything else that comes with it.

So I’m tapping out for a bit. 😂

If I don’t answer you, I’m not ignoring you. I’m probably buried in boxes, looking for the tape that was JUST in my hand, or standing in the middle of a room wondering what the heck I walked in there for. 🤦‍♀️😂

I just need a minute to shut off the Facebook noise, get some stuff done and navigate this crazy little chapter of life.

I’ll be back in a week-ish… hopefully with 8,000 fewer things on my list and at least SOME of my sanity left.

For the next week, Facebook is gonna have to Facebook without me. 😂😘

Skeletons In Our Closet is coming to Leduc...but we don’t just want to open a store. We want to become part of the community. 💚

We’re creating the kind of place where you can wander in just to look around… and somehow stay way longer than you planned.

A place to shop, sip, laugh, visit, discover something unexpected and maybe even make a new friend.

💀💚🩷 AND JUST LIKE THAT… IT’S OUR LAST DAY. 🩷💚💀

I knew this day was coming.

I just didn’t know it would feel like this. 🥹

Tonight, when the last person walks out the door and I turn the lights off at Skeletons In Our Closet in Evansburg for the final time…

I know I’m going to look around a little longer.

Because I won’t just see racks and walls.

I’ll see memories.

I’ll see the people who walked through our doors as strangers and somehow became friends.

I’ll hear the laughter.

I’ll remember the conversations at the counter that started with “I’m just looking” and somehow turned into sharing half our lives with each other. 😂❤️

I’ll remember the hugs.

The tears.

The celebrations.

The ridiculous ideas we tried just because we thought… why the hell not? 😂

I’ll remember the days I wondered what I had gotten myself into…

and the days I stood in this store and thought,

“Holy crap. We actually built something really special here.”

And we did.

But I didn’t build it alone.

YOU DID THIS WITH ME.

Every person who walked through our doors.

Every person who bought something, grabbed a drink, came to an event, shared a post, told a friend or simply stopped in because they needed somewhere to be for a little while.

You became part of our story.

And somewhere along the way…

Skeletons In Our Closet stopped feeling like just a store.

It became a little community inside a community. ❤️

That is the part I’m going to miss the most.

Not the building.

The people.

Evansburg gave this crazy little dream somewhere to grow.

You gave us a chance.

You kept showing up.

And because you did…

we grew big enough to need a bigger dream. 🥹💚

So yes, I’m going to cry when I turn those lights off.

Probably the ugly kind. 😂😭

But I’m also going to smile.

Because those lights aren’t going out because we failed.

They’re going out because we grew.

And somewhere down the road in Leduc, there’s another set of lights waiting to be turned on. 💀💚🩷

A new building.

New faces.

New memories.

New crazy ideas.

And a whole new chapter of Skeletons In Our Closet that I cannot WAIT to show you.

But no matter how big this becomes…

No matter where this crazy journey takes us…

There will only ever be ONE place where it all began.

EVANSBURG… WE’RE DOWN TO OUR LAST TWO DAYS. ❤️💀

And when I look around this little shop, I don’t just see racks of clothing and things to pack into boxes.
I see what we built together. ❤️

A place people could walk into and feel welcome. A place to shop, visit, laugh, share stories, try something new and maybe stay a little longer than they planned. 🥰

YOU made Skeletons In Our Closet so much more than a store. You made it a community.
So for these last two days, my door is wide open and I would absolutely LOVE to see you. ❤️

Come shop the relocation sale, come wander around Our Closet one more time, come have a visit… or just come through the door and say hi.

These last two days aren’t just about closing a chapter — they’re about celebrating everything we created here together. 💀💗
And the beautiful thing about closing this chapter is that our story isn’t ending… it’s growing. ❤️

❤️ MY LAST WEEK AT SKELETONS IN OUR CLOSET — EVANSBURG ❤️

I’m not quite sure how we got here so fast… but this is officially my last week in the shop. 🥹

After this week, I’ll be trading the racks, visits and everyday conversations for boxes, packing tape and a whole lot of organizing as I get ready for the next chapter of Skeletons In Our Closet. 💀💗

But before I start packing it all up, I just want to soak in this last week.

This little shop became so much more than a business to me. It became a place where people stopped in for “just a quick look” and stayed for a visit. A place for laughs, stories, hugs, connections and friendships I never would have had without opening these doors.

YOU made this place what it is.

To every person who walked through our doors, brought a friend, shared a post, consigned with us, shopped with us, came for a visit or simply cheered me on from the sidelines — thank you. ❤️

Evansburg and all of our surrounding communities gave Skeletons In Our Closet a place to grow, and I will carry that love with me into everything that comes next.

So if you’ve been meaning to pop in… this is the week. Come say hi. Come hunt for one last treasure. Come give me a hug. Come hang out for a minute. 💗
