Katie placed first, and is the first woman in HISTORY to break the 1:50 mark.

Vanessa finished breaking the 2 min mark getting a 1:59 and second overall. Breaking the over 40 record and the 4th woman in Canada to ever break 2 min. The only over 40 to ever go sub 2.

Going into these races we dialed Nutrition, timing, and supplementation. I want to emphasize, though, these athletes are CAREER athletes. Their speed, capacity, agility, discipline, consistency...this is YEARS in the making. I helped them with one aspect. They did, and continue to do, all the hard work.

I’m extremely proud of these women and fellow sister firefighters; they are the epitome of occupational athletes, and I would not hesitate a second to have them at my side at a structure fire
