What do I do between seasons? 👀

Since Lemax houses are mostly a holiday-time thing, my “off-season” is actually VERY busy behind the scenes!

This year is a big one — I’m building a brand-new website so it will be more efficient and able to calculate your shipping fees in real time 🙌 That project alone will take up a big part of my time.

I’ll also be repainting the shop and reorganizing the displays to make room for all the new arrivals. I’ve had a sneak peek at what’s coming at the end of summer… and it’s the biggest order I’ve ever placed 😅 So yes — we’re going to need space!

And if I have a little time left in between all that, I’ll try to create some new exclusive La voie du décor products ✨

Welcome to the workshop side of La Voie du Décor! This is where we carefully pack your orders and where we create all our exclusive products.
Here’s a look at how we make a personalized board. We use the Xtool M1 machine for all our engraving and cutting projects.
Once the board is engraved, we wash it and let it dry overnight. Then we apply a food-grade oil to protect and seal the wood.
It’s important to repeat this step at home from time to time to extend the life of your board and prevent it from drying or cracking.

Bienvenue dans la section atelier de La Voie du Décor ! C’est ici que nous emballons vos commandes et que nous fabriquons tous nos produits exclusifs.
Voici un aperçu de la fabrication d’une planche personnalisée. Nous utilisons la machine Xtool M1 pour tous nos projets de gravure et de découpe.
Une fois la planche gravée, nous la lavons puis la laissons sécher toute la nuit. Ensuite, nous appliquons une huile de grade alimentaire pour protéger et sceller le bois.
Il est important de refaire cette étape à la maison de temps en temps pour prolonger la durée de vie de votre planche et éviter qu’elle ne sèche ou ne craque.
