Back from Finland!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Amberin for doing a wonderful job of looking after the shop while I was away. It is very much appreciated.

I'll be back in shop as of today; a little jet lagged and disoriented, but still standing. :)

My plane tickets are booked and I will be headed to Finland from June 20th to July 24th.

Our shop will still be open for that month although our hours may be slightly different. Amberin will be looking after things while I'm away so all the basics will still be covered, hemming, mending, replacing pant zippers etc :)

In terms of formal wear, prom dresses, wedding dresses we are very limited in availability since everything for late June, July and early August will need to be done before I go. We will be doing our best to accommodate as many people as we can but it is first come, first serve so if you have an event coming up, give us a call, so we can book you in, 604-820-0528.

We have decided to stay closed again today in anticipation of round two of snow this afternoon. Also, I'm pretty hesitant about walking on anything icy after breaking my hand last year in way less snow :(

We will be closed:

Friday September 29th through til Tuesday October 3rd
as well as:
Saturday October 7th to to Tuesday October 10th.

It has been a crazy busy formal season so far this year so I will be taking a much needed mini holiday. Amberin has kindly agreed to look after things next week while I'm away so a big thank you again to her :).

I will see you after the 10th.

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving holiday :)

Happy February :) Except not so happy news for me. I slipped and fell in the snow... Clumsy, clumsy Kat.

Unfortunately, along side a bruised ego, a spectacularly bruised knee cap, I also fractured one of my metacarpal bones in my smart hand. So, for the next 3 to 4 weeks, I will be in a cast, impatiently trying to heal to get back to life as normal.

A huge thank you to Amberin of A Dressing Needs, who will be looking after the shop and doing basic alterations in my absence. Also a thank you Sugees and Fabriba for looking after my brides that were due to be wed in the next few weeks. I would link their FB profiles but my left handed typing skills are not so good.

As for formal wear, I should be back within the month. You can continue to call the shop at 604-820-0528 to book appointments for Grad and upcoming weddings. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. If you have questions regarding the alterations themselves, feel free to contact me via Facebook.

You've seen the lovely mannequins already, but the sign is new! We assume this is the last time I post this shot. But what a beauty! A huge thank you to both Knight Signs and for making this happen on such a great timeline. Just in time for the open next week!

Good Morning,

It's official. As of today, we'll be open at our new location at 33048 1st ave. in the Olde Raverty Mall near H&R Block. (Our street signs our going to take longer, but if you peak into the mall, you'll see our sandwich board) And as of next week, we'll be back to a regular schedule. We'll now be open 10- 5, Tuesday through Saturday.

I also want to send a huge thank you to Rosie and The Dreams Come True Boutique for welcoming us in and giving us a place to be during this crazy transitional year. She is a truly amazing and generous person and we loved the opportunity to share her space over this past year.
