Rest in power our dear Steph. We are in shock and our hearts are crying. You are the reason Ok My Dear Exists. Thank you ❤️ We are forever grateful.
We remember the first time we stepped into SDV Vintage, then a humble tiny space. We felt right at home. « finally. » we said. Moncton needed this! We needed this. I remember the excitement Julie and I felt when telling our friends about this new place and the pride of knowing that Steph was a world class vintage curator. This shop was the best we'd ever seen. Everything in there was always unique and amazing !
She gave us the chance to collaborate and open up our own shop within the same walls. What a blast!!! Playing dress up, gossiping, sharing ideas, making things happen. Her shop wasn't just an amazing place to buy one of a kind clothes, it was a safe place for peoples of all communities, a place where weirdos and artists of all shapes and sizes could find clothes that defined them. She had an eye for finding the absolute perfect thing for everyone. We were lucky enough to have our very own personal shopper!! Vintage aside, Steph was a hilarious, strong minded, oh so ever thoughtfull femme fatale. We will always remember her sweet little voice when she spoke french to customers. And her awesome heartfelt laugh. Being friends or even following Steph from afar on social media is never a dull moment. She leaves no one indifferent . What she stood for was necessary. The work she did was necessary. Her store and her presence were important pillars in this city . Have a moment and think of your favourite memory with Steph or your favourite item of clothing from SDV vintage. Steph, your devotion to make an impact is seen and will be remembered. So many of us are lucky to say we have a little piece of SDV in our closets. Cherish that item, wear it proudly. Be an ally, call out bigotry . Enjoy a vanity moment. Keep spreading the love, openness and light that Steph luminated. We love you Steph ❤️
