A crafty maker since my teenage years, I have never stopped. By trade I am a dressmaker and have a professional background in the clothing industry. Here at the atelier my aim is to create affordable customized clothing using readily available patterns as jumping off points, accessories (think practical bags or purses etc.) as well as soft home furnishings
(pillowcases, blankets, curtains, some slipcovers etc.) Preferentially I like to work with fabric made from natural fibers, sourcing them locally or online from Canadian retailers. I work with both knit and woven fabrics as well as some leather. Interested in having items machine embroidered? Simply want to learn how to sew? It would be my pleasure to teach you the basics with simple beginners projects.
