🌸 Hello beautiful people of PBU 🌸
My name is Jill Demers, and I’m so excited to say that I’m the new social media and content manager for Please, Be You! Ivanna and I have been close friends since 2015, and I’m so honoured she’s asked me to be apart of her team. I love the intentions behind Please, Be You; mental health is something that is extremely important to me, and I’ve appreciated the work Ivanna has done to bring more awareness to mental health from day one.
To tell everyone a little bit more about myself… I moved to Montreal at the end of August 2020, originally I’m from St. Catharines, Ontario. Outside of PBU, I work in Human Resources as a recruiter for an amazing company! I love meeting new people and trying new things, which is part of the reason I moved to Montreal. I adore the art and culture scene that’s present here (it’s the other reason I chose to move to Montreal), being in such a beautiful city with so much going on inspires me daily!
I’ve had my own struggles with mental health in the past, so now being apart of a company that actively gives back to CMHA is so incredible. I hope that in the future, PBU can expand how we give back to the mental health community, and can be an example for other brands/businesses for how they can advocate for mental health. If you ever need someone to talk to, have any questions about mental health and available resources, or want to share your story, don’t hesitate to send a message either PBU or myself directly!
