Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante announced the city is working on a bylaw to make masks mandatory in all enclosed public places.

Montreal intends on having the rule in place as of July 27. Starting July 13, all Quebecers will already have to wear a mask while using public transit. Residents of Côte Saint-Luc were already required to wear a mask in indoor public places as of July 1.

Invest in a mask that will last a long time as Toronto's city council has voted to make non-medical masks and face coverings mandatory in indoor public spaces to help limit the spread of the coronavirus.

The new regulation goes into effect July 7 as a temporary bylaw, though Toronto’s mayor John Tory and medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa are encouraging residents to begin following the order immediately.
