What can you offer an Air Max fanatic who already owns some of the most unique and sought after pairs?
He needed something VERY unique. So we sat down and talked about picking a theme.
Mouloud IndaHood wanted his pair to be inspired by his origins, Corsica, and what matters the most to him, his family. He trusted me for the rest…
I offered to create a pair with an asymmetrical style. The panels covered with Swarovski crystals on the right foot would be engraved on the left foot, and vice versa.
Corsica being known for hunting, the color of the crystals used was to represent the color of the gun barrels. I also imagined and built a box with exterior and interior designs reminiscent of gun cases.
Family First was designed using an Air Max One Pinnacle Sail pair which I first painted black. I then covered it with Swarovski crystals before the texts were finally engraved by Jean Ewen.

Qu'est-ce que tu peux proposer à un fanatique d'Air Max qui possède déjà des paires parmi les plus exceptionnelles et recherchées ?
Il lui fallait quelque chose de VRAIMENT unique. Alors nous nous sommes assis et nous avons discuté pour choisir un thème.
Mouloud IndaHood voulait que sa paire s’inspire de ses origines, la Corse, et de ce qui compte le plus à ses yeux, sa famille. Pour le reste, il m’a laissé carte blanche…
Je lui ai proposé de créer une paire dont le style est asymétrique. Les panneaux recouverts de cristaux Swarovski au pied droit sont ceux qui sont gravés au pied gauche, et inversement.
La Corse étant connue pour la chasse, la couleur des cristaux utilisés voulait rappeler celle des canons de fusils. J’ai également imaginé et construit une boite dont le design extérieur et intérieur rappelle celui des mallettes de transport des armes à feu.
Family First a été conçue à partir d’une Air Max One Pinnacle Sail que j’ai d’abord peinte en noir. Je l’ai ensuite recouverte de cristaux Swarovski avant que les textes ne soient finalement gravés par Jean Ewen.
