This vintage Western shirt came from Texas in the 60s and used to be longer, with sleeves that were falling apart. I took in a little, cropped the bottom and removed to the sleeves to give it a new lease on life. After a bit of a break, I'm continuing to work through the pandemic, although at a bit of a lower capacity, with social distancing protocols in place.

I fix and alter clothes and textiles and can also make copies of pre-existing clothes. I also teach beginner sewing lessons, which have their own section below. I do not work with leather or do commissions that involve a large amount of original design work at this time.

I offer sliding scale beginner sewing classes for $30-50 per session. Rather than teaching everyone the same project or lesson, I mentor students through a project of their own choosing. Sessions are 3 hours long, and can accommodate 2 students. I supply a sewing machine and all other tools but require students to bring their own fabric and other materials. My cancellation policy is that I require 24 hours notice to cancel or payment for the lesson is due by the time it begins.

I just finished making (myself) this button-up bra. I've never been able to find bras in my size and this is possibly the first one I've had that really fits! It's fully lined with a nice stretchy bias cut and made from a few upcycled pieces of cotton dresses whose hems were shortened.

Beginner sewing classes are back for Jan-Feb! I'm offering 3 hr sessions to guide beginners through sewing projects of their choice. Message me if you have any questions, or if you're interested but the available dates don't work for you! Learn to repair, make, or alter your own clothes!

Located at St Joesph and Iberville, and $30-50 sliding scale per session (prices have increased slightly since I have reduced the class size from 3 to 2 people).
