We’re back for our 2nd annual “NDG Runway Project” Workshop - Upcycling, Thrifting, Sewing and Fashion Show - for Teens 13 – 17 with Aidan, Tessa and Judi!
Registration is now open, space is limited! Maximum 6 spots per session, each participant will have their own sewing machine and fashion designing station.
Looking for an amazing 2-week summer workshop for your teenager (all genders welcome!) to explore best thrifting practices, thrifting on a budget, how to use a sewing machine and to hand-tailor their thrifty finds? Would they like to show off their creations in a fashion show finale? Maybe they would like to sign up with a friend?
Thrifting mentors Aidan and Tessa will be leading the workshop daily. Judi will be present for the sewing and tailoring days. Special guests will be invited to provide guidance on hair, makeup and runway walking in preparation for the fashion show finale!
COST: $600 per participant per session
WHEN & WHERE
Each 2-week session runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Session 1: July 7 to July 18 / Fashion Show: Friday, July 18
Session 2: July 21 to August 1 / Fashion Show: Friday, August 1
This summer, we are renting a spacious air-conditioned studio space at the Notre-Dame-des-Arts building at 5754 Upper Lachine Rd, Montreal, Quebec H4A 2T5.
From Vendome metro, it’s a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride (104 or 90 west)
Day trips to local NDG and Montreal-area thrift, vintage and fabric shops by public transport are planned. All participants must be equipped to travel by bus/metro.
