More stunning lace from the summer 😍😍 I'm obviously enjoying the slower season and finally showing off more summer alterations - everyone clap.

Brooklyn came to see for her summer mountain top elopement with this truly marvelous lace wedding dress. This dress was so cool for so many reasons. The open back look with no seam (all my seamstress pals will appreciate this!), a zipper hidden in the back princess seam, off the shoulder sleeves, and just a stunning silhouette. Jaw dropping!

The dress fit a little tight in the hips and was long. This was another dress where the alterations included a bunch of little tweaks, and a decent hem to create the perfect fit. The hips were let out, boning was added in sneaky place to have the seat sit smoothly (the only downside to the back princess seam zipper), sleeves were shorten & tighten around the shoulders, a lace trimmed hem and a bustle was added. Absolutely perfect!

The little adjustments and attention to detail make a world of a difference when it comes to your wedding dress ✨

Paige came in with this gorgeous bias cut gown for her summer wedding. Her vibes were magnificent!! The alterations included taking up the straps, taking in the sides at the waist, and some minor back adjustments. A hem and a French bustle was added to complete the look. Thanks again, Paige! Congratulations 🥂

Am I just that crazy seamstress talking about prom 2027 in September.... Yuuup!
Please plan ahead if your graduating in 2027. Spring time is an unbelievably busy time for us formal wear specialist. Pre-booking your spring time prom dress or suit alterations will save you so much stress in the spring. Seriously, you'll thank me!

I'll be accepting prom dress and suit alterations from December - mid April.

If you are ordering a new dress, please be aware that most dresses come very long, they will more than likely need to be hemmed. If you are on a budget - pay attention to the amount of layers, and details at the hem line as these aspects change the cost of the alterations. I'm happy to help with free consultation!

Back to some more summer wedding dress alterations from this season! Taylor came in with this stunning sparkling wedding dress for her July wedding. This dress had the prettiest layers, I was obsessed! The dress fit big and long.
The alterations included taking in center back, reshaping the back, taking in the chest, and a hem and bustle. An absolute stunning look! Thanks again, Taylor! Congratulations 🎉

The lace wedding dresses that came into my shop for alterations this summer.. absolutely breathtaking!!!! 😍😍😍😍

Ainsley had one show stopping dress. From the stunning lacework to the amazing silhouette and off the shoulder sleeves, this dress had it all! The dress fit large in the chest and waist and was too long.

The alterations included taking in center back, a lace trimmed hem, and a stunning 5 point bustle. I was able to use the flowers from the hem cuttings to create the perfect hidden loop feature to hide the loops when the bustle was down. Literally such a vibe!!!!! Thank you again, Ainsley! Now the details on this stunning gown...A vintage dress re-design! Olivia found a stunning dress to wear for her dress rehearsal that fit long and big, with no support. She had a vision and I sewed some magic to create this truly one of a kind tea length, corseted gown. I'll promise to share more photos soon but this dress needed a spot on my main feed! Thanks so much, Olivia, congratulations 🥂

I am back from my little vacation and am excited to be back behind my sewing machines tomorrow! I will be very, very busy for the next few weeks, so please plan ahead for any alterations needed in September and early October.
✨ I am currently booking formal wear alterations for September events & bridal alterations are available for weddings in October or later. I cannot accept any new casual wear alterations for the next couple of weeks, but you can pre-book for a fitting for the end of the month. I am almost done with my busy season & then I'll be back to my usual turn around times, thank you for your patience!! ❤️

Now to talk about another amazing wedding dress transformation!
This stunning floral wedding dress started with small spaghetti straps which didn't match the brides vision, and let's be honest - were a little uncomfortable, and the dress fit long and was big in the bodice. The alterations included changing the straps to a wider more supportive strap, using cuttings from the hem, and creating custom flowy sleeves. The bodice was taken in at center back, chest was taken in, and a hem. A 3 point bustle was added for party time. Such a great dress and one of my favorite sleeves I have created this year! 🪡

One week left & then I am away for a little staycation, visiting my sister, but away for my sewing machines 🥳

I will be away between August 2nd - 11th so if you're needing any non-bridal formal wear alterations for events at the end of August, please book in to see me this week. Fitting times are available Wednesday - Saturday. I will still be very busy when I get back so please try to book in advance for any alterations needed for the end of summer or beginning of fall. I appreciate you all for keeping me so busy. It's been the best year ever!! ❤️❤️

I still have soooo many beautiful bridal dresses to show off (maybe I'll get to posting some on my week off 🤞) but I wanted to show off another stunning prom dress that I had the opportunity to alter in the spring. This show stopping pink dress needed a bit of work for the perfect fit. The alterations included taking in center back, added new straps for extra support, chest taken in, and a front hem. Such a great dress!!! The prom dresses this year were so so cool, can't wait to see what comes in for 2027!

Showing off this STUNNING Canadian made wedding dress Oli brought in for her spring time wedding. Truvelle is truly one of my favorite wedding dress designers, making dresses in Vancouver! The alterations on this dress included changing the straps from a spaghetti strap to a wide, crossed back, strap which delightfully comes to a bow at center back. Extra support for the chest and a stunning look. The dress also needed a hem and a French bustle was added for party time. She had this amazing cape which really finished off the look - I had no part on this but it was soooooo marvelous of a look it needed a space on my timeline!
