If you’re new here, welcome! 🤍 We wanted to reshare this because it’s one of the most important conversations we have as a brand.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room! Everyone’s favourite subject...price :) Here’s one very important thing I promise you - the price of our All Phases Fleece (and all future products) is not arbitrary. We didn’t (and won’t) come up with a price out of our heads for the fun of it, nor to purposely exclude anyone. The price is set based on the multitude of costs that go into producing a garment of heirloom quality, and getting it here.

While I do my best to focus on the many positive reviews and feedback from our customers and community (for the sake of my nervous system, woo! it’s not always easy), we still receive comments from people who are angry and upset about our price. I carefully respond to every comment and use it as an opportunity to shed light on the reality of what goes into creating a high quality product designed to last. Some people respond well and some people don’t.

But here’s the truth..we are (and always will be) uncompromising on quality and use the highest grade materials in every instance. Including our 100% recycled fleece, YKK zippers and extremely detailed finishes. This is not a fast fashion piece. In every way it has been designed and manufactured to last decades. All of this comes at a cost.

As a small family owned business as we produce in much smaller quantities than larger brands, which increases costs further. The labour (cutting/sewing) costs to produce this sweater are also higher as there are many zippers and seams that make it functional.

When you buy a sweater from us, you’re proving that women in motherhood phases deserve high quality outdoor gear options.

You’re helping to ensure that we can keep creating more products for moms and moms-to-be. (like our nursing base layer, tshirt and merino tank top en route next fall).

When you buy a sweater from us you’re saying “I too value quality and slow fashion”.

Did you know some scientists refer to older trees as mother trees?

These trees help support younger seedlings by sharing nutrients and resources through underground fungal networks, helping the forest thrive together.

The more we learn from nature, the more we're reminded that strength isn't always about standing alone. Sometimes it's about staying rooted. Sometimes it's about bending with the wind. Sometimes it's about letting go of what no longer serves you. And sometimes, it's simply about resting.
