We have a small announcement to make here, and that is our little Apple Tree store will remain closed.
However, seafood lovers do not despair, you can now order all of your premium Fisherman’s Market Seafood online and pick it up at the Silverton General Store!

Just be sure to select the Silverton General Store as your pick up location when you complete your online order.

They also carry some best-selling single seafood items such as smoked salmon,
tiger prawns, ling cod, and some ready-bake favourites like the beef Wellington and the tuna pot pie. All of the seafood is frozen, so plan your pick ups in enough time to thaw for dinner!

One of New Denver's great characters has moved on.

W***y was a kind and humble man, and it would be hard to find someone who has left his mark on more places around this community. He had probably been on just about every roof in the area at one point or another, and had a hand in countless buildings, repairs and projects around town.

W***y was involved in pretty much all of my projects in New Denver over the years. He was always willing— and usually excited-to get involved, take on a challenge and figure out a solution. Haywire enough to make every story a good one, but always kind, helpful and ready to lend a hand. A bigger heart would be hard to find.

Over the last few years, he settled in at the Apple Tree Workshop, and I hope he enjoyed being there as much as we enjoyed having him. I feel lucky to have worked alongside W***y over the years, and especially to have gotten to know him as well as I did.

It's the end of an era. W***y will be missed around the workshop and throughout the community. New Denver has lost one of its great characters.

From all of us who were lucky enough to know him, farewell W***y. You will be missed.

These black and white checkered floors have something new on them! We’re super excited to announce that the North Slocan Clothing Company has set up shop in the Apple Tree building in New Denver. Come check out all the wonderful stuff in here, t shirts, hoodies, hats and more! Open for the summer, their hours are 10-3 Wednesday to Saturday.

The Apple Tree Store & Workshop is proud to share that we have officially made our donation of $500 to the Patrizia Menton Chiaroscuro Award at the Lucerne school in New Denver. Thank you to everyone who came out and bought a copy of the famed Recipes and Rapscallions cookbook for themselves or for loved ones, sharing and cherishing these recipes and stories from the original Apple Tree!

Our Donation is on behalf of Gary Wright, Rob Ochsendorf and Bill Finley. Happy cooking and happy reminiscing. And best of luck to the grade 12 graduates of 2026!
