A little bit of snippets here and there in my indigo journey;

Last year I went to Japan and get to learn about how to make my own organic indigo vat through it was a really beautiful stay, learn and work sharing in tokushima.

Coming back to canada, i brought some indigo kit and just on a constant creative block where i was too anxious about space and also how to start the indigo vat; finally after mulling for months i started one.

It was either..

I bought the pH meter, but too scared to try them out, took me a good 4 months until I open that package from amazon 🙄

Oh I didn’t have a garage to keep the vat warm, oh wait I do have a studio that I have and i can leave it in room temperature;

Oh wait, I have to stop by the studio everyday to stir the vat;

Oh damn, the vat might not be reducing either because i used tap water, or it’s just too cold(?)

Oh damn, i forgot to put the wheat bran inside the fridge after opening

Oh! Now I get it why people wrap their buckets in towels… we need the liquid to be warm 🫪
