WAR MEMORIAL HALL

In 1909 University of Guelph alumni were asked to contribute $60,000 in memoriam of the 109 Ontario Agricultural College students who made the ultimate sacrifice in WWI, with an additional $40,000 donation from the provincial government War Memorial Hall was born.

Students took up saws and axes against the Norway spruce that once inhabited the grounds to clear the area, and War Memorial Hall was constructed over the next few years.

June 1924 marked the opening day, with a plaque on the Wall commemorating the 109 fallen men, decades later an adjacent plaque established when once again the students answered the call to the second World War.

Today War Memorial serves not only as a lecture hall, but also a reminder of the rich history of the OAC

UPDATE

Hello everyone, it's been a while. It's more of the same old here, I've been very busy lately working 6-7 days a week to help pay for school, so I haven't had much chance to put the time into this project it really deserves, until now.

I've discovered instagram has this neat feature where you can schedule posts to be uploaded at a certain date and time, which is very useful when where you work doesn't have data coverage, so I've made it a goal to post at minimum three times a week, although I would like to have a post a day.

So, if you have a picture you'd like to send in it'd be much appreciated, in the meantime I'd like to thank all of you for your support throughout this entire time there hasn't been a month with zero sales on the website, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I have the pleasure of attending the Big Bang Gun Show on June 4th (This Saturday) as a vendor! The guys at NAS Guns & Ammo were kind enough to waive the table fee($250!) and the entrance fee for myself, and I am extremely grateful for this!

I'll have stickers, patches, and 100 brand new t-shirts, among other great products for you fine folks, and I'd love for you to stop by and put a face to the name you see on here, and of course raise a whole lot of money for our nation's veterans!

Of course, I won't be the only attraction there. You'll be able to try out over 30 different fi****ms, archery, axe & knife throwing and much more
